Scott James Thomas Jr.
Scott James Thomas Jr. was born on November 8, 1952 in Clearwater, Florida to (the late) Scott James Thomas Sr. and Gladys (Moody) Thomas.
Scott grew up in Clearwater, FL and attended Dunedin High School where he played basketball and was given the title of “Mr. Dunedin”. In his early years, Scott loved traveling to Montgomery, Alabama –visiting his grandparents. He went on to work as a cook at various restaurants in Clearwater then on to a career in landscaping. Scott had a love for Martial Arts which earned him a Black Belt in karate. Not long after, he would gather his nieces, nephews and the neighborhood children to teach them the art of karate.
Scott was a faithful and dedicated servant of the Lord. He attended Abundant Life Ministries C.O.G.I.C in St. Petersburg, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Roger Stroman where he would serve and become an ordained Deacon. He was an active member in his church as well as in his community by assisting with transportation for seniors, completing charitable restorations to his church and within the community as well as helping anyone along the way. Scott’s love, kindness and love for the Lord is Honorable and exemplify the true meaning of a Saint.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Scott James Thomas Sr. and Gladys (Moody) Thomas.
Scott leaves to cherish his memories… Wife: Yvonne Thomas. Children: Sherry Marie Thomas and Scott James Thomas III and James Quinton Thomas. Sisters: Jeralne Burt and Parnell Morrell. Brothers: Michael Thomas and Curtis Thomas. 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
