Parnell Morrell
Parnell Morrell was born on October 13, 1948 in Hope Hull, Alabama to the (late) Bosie Lee Carter and Gladys (Moody) Thomas.
Parnell grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama where she attended McLean Elementary and George Washington Carver High School. As an adult, she relocated to Clearwater, Florida and started a family. She worked and retired from Square D Company and later moved on to work and retire from ITI (Instrument Transformers Inc.
Parnell was full of love and life as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a faithful and dedicated servant for the Lord. At a young age, she attended and was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church in Hope Hull, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor Eli Marlowe. She later found her church home at The Christ Church of Universal Love in Largo, FL where she would receive leadership for her and her family under (the late) Bishop James E. and Mother Isabelle Byrd. Up until her passing, she was a faithful member of Macedonia M.B. Church under the leadership of Dr. Vassar Calvin Crews. Parnell was the true definition of a saint.
To Love Parnell
…. goes without words. She loved her family dearly and always remained humble, loving, easy going and touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Her affectionate smile would light up the room. Parnell was kind, spiritual and always ready to lend a helping hand. If she has help someone along the way, then her living was not in vain.
She is preceded in death by…her parents, Boosie Lee Carter and Gladys (Moody) Thomas. Special parents, George and Annie Moody Sr. A brother, Scott James Thomas Jr. A baby daughter, Quanta Katrese Henry and her God son, Glenn Miller and son-in-law Bryant.
Parnell leaves to cherish her lasting memories….. Daughters: Gwendolyn Carter, Donna Williams and LaTonya Bryant, sons, Anthony Turk, and Tovoris (Qaneta) Henry. Sister: Jeralne Burt Kidd (Erroll), Brothers: Michael Thomas and Curtis Thomas, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a special friend Angela Hall, her buddy James Jackson Sr., god-daughter Norma Jackson Miller, god-son Isaac Byrd and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
