Life Reflections for
Brother Ossie Lee Hartsfield
Brother Ossie Lee Hartsfield transitioned home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2021 peacefully at his private residence in Dunedin, Florida.
He was the third child born on March 22, 1948 to the late Ossie Lee Simpson and Inez Glaze. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard McCoy and Rudolph Johnson. Ossie knew the Lord from an early age being a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist church. He was a student and a graduate of the Pinellas County Public School system. After his graduation from Dunedin High School in 1966 he went on to join the United States Air Force being honorably discharged on December 18,1970.
After serving his country he also served his local government by working for the City of Clearwater, City of Dunedin and his last position being held with the City of Houston, TX. He was well known in the community as a no-nonsense person but to those who really knew “Bullmoose”, would tell you he was loving, generous and one of a kind. His spirit will surely be missed.
He leaves to cherish fond and irreplaceable memories: His loving wife of 40 years Wanda Renee (Mathis) Hartsfield; sons, Marlon Hartsfield; Adonis Hartsfield; and Christopher Thomas; daughters, Tamara Hartsfield; Neonta (Nathaniel) Slaughter; Tameka (Terry Sr.) Denmark; grandchildren, Myles Hartsfield, Marquez Hartsfield, Adoniesha Hartsfield, Digiovanni Hartsfield, Lakeif Daniels, Adonis Hartsfield Jr., Demetric Hartsfield, Tajanay Hartsfield, Tyonne Hartsfield, Tashara Crenshaw, Demar Hartsfield, Kyra Slaughter, Kion Hartsfleld, Terry Denmark Jr. Simone Denmark, A'sya Denmark. And a host of sorrowing great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
