Mary Jo Wilson of Clearwater, Florida was born on December 4, 1932 and was given 88 years of sunshine, and God decided to call her precious soul to rest on Saturday July 3, 2021.
Mary Jo life will be celebrated Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews First Missionary Baptist Church with visitation on Friday, July 9, 2021 from the hours of 5-7 PM at TR Dallas Funeral & Cremation Services.
Obituary
Mary Jo Wilson was born in Hawkinsville, Ga. to Porter C. and Willie Mae Hill December 4, 1932. Soon after high school graduation, she moved to Clearwater, Florida where she lived the duration of her life as a wife, mother, missionary and servant of God. After finishing nursing school in the 1970s, she worked as an L.P.N. for Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fl and later Mease Hospital in Dunedin, Fl. for more than 20 years, then continuing as a private duty LPN until retiring in 1990.
Mary Jo has been a faithful member and Missionary of St. Matthews First Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Her life has been dedicated to serving her family, church, friends, and all those she would encounter. The essence of her life and legacy is that of a mother, a faithful servant and a woman of God.
Preceding her in death are two sons: Anthony Floyd and Derrick Floyd.
She leaves to cherish her memory; Loving and Faithful son and caregiver Willie Albert Floyd, Porter Leroy Floyd, Konrad McCree, Sr., and daughter Tami Wynell Robinson.
Grandchildren; Gary Anthony Floyd (preceding her in death), Bianca Floyd, Dorian Floyd, Toni Jeffers, Sandra Jeffers, Ashley Floyd, Keevon Floyd, Stassia Floyd, Shecurra Harvey, Tywanna Floyd, Tami Floyd,Tyree Brundage, Shyree Brundage, Derrick L. Floyd, Cornelius Williams, Charles Williams, Erica Williams, Konrad McCree, Jr., Shanucey Fuller, Angel Franklin, Elgin Franklin, and Taelor Franklin
Nephews; Jonathan Green, Jim Hill, Jr., Niece: Cynthia Hill, devoted Godsons; Reverend Jonathan Wade, Michael Baldwin and a host of loving and devoted greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and spiritual children.
