Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14: 2-3
Judith Ann Johnson, affectionately known as Judi, was born October 17, 1950 to the late Mrs. Pearl and Mr. Charles Johnson. Judi was born and raised in Chicago amongst numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. On December 4,1983, Judi and the O.G. Scroggins welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world whom they named Yvonne K. Scroggins.
Judi worked 23 years for the State of Illinois before relocating to Clearwater, Florida with her daughter Yvonne, in 1995. After numerous years of service, Judi retired from the Department of Children and Families with the State of Florida. After a few years of retirement, Judi went back to work with the Department of Children and Families until her health begin to fail.
Judi possessed a love for life. You could find her enjoying time at the Hard Rock Casino or listening to her favorite group of the 70’s The Whispers.
On November 2, 2021, in the stillness of the evening surrounded by her daughter, cousins and best friends, Judi heard the still voice of God granting peace and eternal rest to join her daughter Lena Joann Scroggins and her parents Pearl and Charles Johnson.
Judi leaves behind to treasure her life, share her love and cherish her laughter:
A loving supportive daughter: Yvonne K. Scroggins.
Five special cousins: Gale Harris, Maxine Harris, Jerry Harris, Gloria Hardy, Jackie Harris, David Harris.
Two devoted close friends: Ruth Beasley and Patricia McBride
And a host of caring family and friends.
