Mr. James Roosevelt McGee was born on April 14, 1947 to the late Lorene and Theodore McGee in Greenwood, Mississippi.
He was educated in the Macon county school system and then later attended Lake Shore High School in Belle Glade, Florida and then later attended Job Corp in Tuskegee, Alabama. He was employed with the City of Clearwater Parks and Recreation department where he retired with 35 years. He was Baptist at an early age. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing and sports. He later married the former Pearl Makins on April 15, 2019 in Clearwater, Florida. James was known to family and friends as “Slick”.
On Tuesday, April 20, 2021, the Lord called James Roosevelt McGee, Sr home. Waiting for him are his parents, Lorene, and Theodore McGee his son Willie James McGee, granddaughter, niece Marion
James leaves to cherish his memories, wife Pearl Makins McGee, sons, Cornelius McGee (Ciara), Rudolph Wesley III (Christine), Antonio Wesley (Nikki), James R. McGee, Jr of Bainbridge, GA, James Jones-McGee of Belle Glade, FL, James McGee of New York, daughters, Christi McGee-Deyounks (Lonnie) and Christina McGee, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
