 Obituary 

The late Sister Fannie Mae Dash was born in Clearwater, Florida December 6, 1944 to the late Minister Hezekiah Boykins and Sister Nellie Boatwright Boykins. She married Deacon Leon Dash Sr. Sister Dash gave her life to the Lord at the early age of 9 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus, Largo, FL under the leadership of the late Elder George M. Mosley and later under Elder Melvin A. Lee. She served faithfully as the church recording secretary.  

 

Sister Dash retired from Honeywell Aerospace after 38 years of employment. She played an important part for the defense of our country in the Space Shuttle program, working on Flight Control of the Columbia and Challenger and various other vital important programs.  

 

She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Andrea Renee Robinson, Elaine Dash Wade (Jonathan) Clearwater, FL and Sharon Dash Jones (Jeffrey) Tampa, FL. Very special granddaughter Brittaney Lashay Williams Thomas (Harry) New Port Richey, FL. Brother Donald Davis (Diane) St. Petersburg, FL. Grandchildren Jonathan II, Breon, Damon,Tashyra, Jeffrey Ryan, Mathew IV, Jordan and Morgan; and 24 great-grandchildren, a host of cousins and other sorrowing family and friends.  

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Leon Dash Jr.; daughter Ladwayna Denise Dash Gilghrest.
