Dureck Lemont Richardson

Dureck Lemont Richardson was born on September 30, 1967 to the late Alphonso & Mariah Richardson in Newsoms, Virginia. He grew up in Tarpon Springs, FL, where He attended Pinellas county schools. Upon graduating from Tarpon Springs High School, he served in the United States National Guard for five years. After leaving the service he embarked on the journey of cooking and opened a restaurant. It was during that time he met the Love of his Life Chenise Williams in 1997. Their love for each other grew and it was from there that they and their family relocated to the Pasco County area.
He was affectionately called "Grits" by many of his relatives and friends who would go on to use that nickname for the rest of his life.
Dureck was a family man and was a hard worker. Those who knew him knew he loved to spend time with his family, friends and was a Die-Hard Fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Florida Gators. He was such a wonderful Father, Loving husband, Cool Grandpa and awesome friend. He always had a way of making people laugh, whether being his childhood stories or just being himself.
Dureck passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
Dureck leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of Eighteen years Chenise Richardson, Sons Dureck Richardson Jr, Malik Williams and Jacqueze Richardson; Daughters, Natasha and Monica Pearson. Grandchildren, Shayla Hernandez, Tamiah Ford, Dureck Richardson III,
Dwight Ford III, King Richardson and Journey Richardson, six brothers, Andrew Richardson, Louis Richardson (Phyllis), Alphonso Richardson, James Richardson and Gregory Richardson, God Sisters, Maggie Miles and Sonya Fisher and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, extended family and friends.
