Obituary

Though the clouds may hang over, there will be a brighter day, in that land that they call HEAVEN, GOD shall wipe all tears away. With faith and assurance that God will see us through.

With humble submission to the will of God, we stand with this precious Archibald Family to promulgate to all on the passing of their beloved:

DOROTHY DELORIS ARCHIBALD OBITUARY

Dorothy Archibald (Lois) of Brandon, FL was born on August 13th, 1951 in Wakulla County, Tallahassee, FL. to the late Loretha Fromfield and Alfred Johnson, at an early age Dorothy moved to Tarpon Springs, FL. With her grandparents the late Johnny and Minnie Irvin.

Dorothy attended the public schools of Tarpon Springs and graduated from Tarpon Springs High School Class of 1969.

On January 25th, 1977 in Savannah, GA, Dorothy married her devoted and loving husband the late W.C. Archibald (Archie). During their union Archie served in the Army and Dorothy followed him to duty stations overseas and several different states. Dorothy and Archie were married for over thirty plus years, Dorothy and Archie remained married until Archie’s passing in Nov. 2013.

Dorothy worked at Sally’s Beauty Salon and retired from Walmart after 15 years. Dorothy truly enjoyed life. She spent much of her retired years traveling, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren.  Dorothy took her final breath on November 9th, 2021 at Tampa General Hospital.

Dorothy is preceded in death by loving husband W.C. Archibald, her mother Loretha Fromfield, grandparents Johnny and Minnie Irvin; Niece Neva Hooks.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her loving Daughters: Yadora Peters of Brandon, FL; Rehba Peters of Tampa, FL; Grandchildren: Dorien Harris, Jeremiah Peters, and Jayden Berridge all of Brandon, FL; Kitana Moody of Clearwater, FL; Patience Moody of Tampa, FL; Sisters: Marylin Golden of Tarpon Springs, FL ; Earline Roberts of Ocala, FL; Jennifer Snelling of Gainesville, FL; Cousin Gloria (Clarence) Young of Brandon, FL who were close like sisters; Brother-in-Laws: Johnny “Duke” (Jackie) Archibald of Boligee, AL and  James “Pooh” Archibald of Brandon, FL ; Special Niece/Adopted Daughter : Sherrell (Julio) Loyola of Tampa, FL., Omari Loyola, Kymani Loyola, and Shania Loyola whom she also lovingly called her grandchildren all of Tampa, FL. Niece: Michelle Nealy of Tallahassee, FL Nephew: Damon Peters ( Tonya) of Clearwater, FL Goddaughters: Shakia Williams, Kiyana Williams, and Markeisha Williams all of Atlanta, GA. Extended Family, The Royal Family Arlene Goodwin of Tampa, FL, Janet Hood of Savannah, GA.;  Nancy Dudley of Albany GA., Shelia Royal of Manassa, VA, Calvin Royal of Tarpon Springs FL., Rev. Stanley (Gwen) Royal of Savannah, GA and the late Sam Royal of Fayetteville, NC.. Special Friend: Doranetta Porter of Maryland and a host of family and friends

 

Mrs. Dorothy Archibald (70) of Tampa, FL formerly of Tarpon Springs, FL traded her sorrows for a crown of life in heavenly places on Tuesday, November 09, 2021. Mrs. Archibald was born on August 13, 1951. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home, celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Cathedral of Faith Action In Ministry. All family members are to assemble at the church at 10:45 A.M. 

 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Archibald Family, by TR Dallas Funeral and Cremations Services.
