Claudette Margarette Wint Sawyers was born November 28, 1958, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Saint James Parish to the late Icy Bulgin and Cleveland Augustus Wint Sawyers.
Claudette attended school in Montego Bay after graduating she became a licensed cosmetologist. In 1987, Claudette made her passageway to America to join her sister Beverly, and her father and new extended family in Tarpon Springs, Florida. There she gained a bonus mom, four sisters and four brothers. To make her stay official in 1995; she became a United States Citizen.
Claudette’s employment history included Kmart, Metal Industries, later she became a certified nursing assistant and worked at Manor Care in Palm Harbor, Florida. While living in Tarpon Springs, Claudette joined, was baptized, and sang in the Mass Choir at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Milton Smith. Years later, she started attending Cathedral of Faith in Action Ministries under the leadership of her sister, Pastor Sonya Fisher until she relocated.
Claudette moved to Hollywood, Florida around 2003, to be closer to her maternal family. She later moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida there she met Headley McLarty and on April 25, 2017, they were joined in holy matrimony. Claudette joined the International Deliverance Center under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Errol D. Hall. There she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized; a faithful member who loved her Bishop and church family.
Claudette affectionately known as Donna and Aunt Donna, was instrumental in rearing many children of family and friends. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those she loved and even to complete strangers. She had a heart of gold and would travel to support if called; in a heartbeat.
Claudette loved cooking Jamaican cuisine, playing dominos (she was known as the Domino Queen), worshiping with her IDC family, traveling, cruising, and spending time with family and friends.
Claudette departed this life peacefully at Memorial West in Pembroke Pines, on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 7:29pm. She was preceded in death by her mother, Icy Bulgin; father, Cleveland Sawyers; adopted Mom, Rhoda Sawyers; nephews, Renelle Saunders and Robert Reynolds; Brother-in-law, Leonard Fisher Jr. and best friend, Lorna Taylor.
