OBITUARY
Parents: Judson Barber and Gusta Wynn-Barber
Birthplace: Donalsonville, Georgia
Education: Clarence initially completed the sixth grade. Later in life he obtained his GED. His limited schooling did not inhibit his ability to teach, provide skills, wisdom, and knowledge to everyone he came in contact with. He was a true leader and role model for all generations young and old.
Professional Experiences: Employed for 30 years with the Pinellas County School System, where he was the HPO (Head Plant Operator) for Safety Harbor Exceptional/Ibis Center. Being a Horticulturist, he was available to assist with the agriculture program, his passion was in plant life and the loved cultivating young minds to live on the land. Clarence also gave guidance to the entire staff and counseled many of the children in his career.
Christian Experiences: Member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He assisted with maintenance and up keep of the church. Clarence loved to help with the kitchen committee with the after-church dinners, but his favorite was his skills shown on the grill, showing off his ability to master it. He always looked forward to grilling at the churches annual picnic.
Joy of the earth: Clarence was an avid fisherman, his love for fishing, agricultural, planting, and gardening was his joy and happy place in life. He loved the outdoors, nature, cooking while instilling the importance of the ethics of hard work and self-sufficiency by living on the land. He took pride in spending time with his brothers, sons, grandsons, nephews, and cousins teaching them skills while always looking for a challenge of who could out fish him. None yet....
As far as plant life there was nothing that he was unable to grow and did not grow. His ability to grow plant life afforded him the ability to have his own mini plant and vegetable market as an additional source of income.
