Beatrice was married to Donald Cherry, Sr., and to this union was 6 children.
A Time To Learn, Work And Have Faith….
She attended Jennings High School in Jennings, Florida. She was employed as a CNA at Oak Manor Rehabilitation Center until retirement of 34 years. She loved serving God at her Church Home, Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc. under the Leadership of Elder Melvin Lee, Pastor.
Bea was loving and devoted mother to her children, she loved cooking, fishing, and caring for the sick and shut-ins and others that was in need. She had a large heart and family was truly a joy to her. She will truly be missed.
A Time To Be Called Home…
Beatrice answered her heavenly call on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at home.
She was predeceased by her parents Johnny Verdell, Sr. and Alice Burgess Verdell; son: John Wayne Cherry and daughter Marie Cherry; brothers Ike Verdell, Johnny Verdell, Jr. and David Verdell; Sisters Lorene Bryant and Alberta Denson.

Beatrice memories will forever be treasured by her children, a devoted daughter and caregiver Harriett Y. Baldwin, Largo, FL and Regina L. Cherry, Tampa, FL 2 Sons Donald Cherry, VA and Marvin J. Cherry, Largo, FL; 3 Step Daughters Gwen Powell (Harry), Clearwater, FL , Gwenette Mills (John) South Carolina and Sylvia Cuffie, South Carolina and 1 Sister Jackie Verdell Smith (John) Screven, GA and Special a Niece Cynthia Verdell, Hinesville, GA and I Brother-in-law Clifford Bryant, Sr.; 14 Grand-children, 22 Great Grand Children and 3 Great-Great Grand Children a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
