Rose Marie Avant, originally Rose Marie Collins, was born April 20th 1944 in Ybor City, Florida and passed away on Tuesday, December 13th 2022. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert Morninger Collins and Barbara Victoria Collins, as well as her son, Bradley Scott Fisher. She is survived by her husband, Warren Eugine Mansfield, her daughter, Melinda Kay Fisher, her granddaughter, Tessa Marie McKenna (Julian Conner), her sister, Jean Marston.
Rose Marie was always sporting a sequin pattern, whether it be a sparkling "whatever" pin or an outfit covered in glimmering flamingos. After retiring from GTE, she loved to travel, boasting about visiting all 50 states and her RV adventures around North America. Rose Marie loved Disney, especially Mickey and Minnie Mouse. She had excellent taste in food, especially southern food like collard greens and rutabagas and she made a mean bloody mary. She was a loving mother, wife, and loved her only granddaughter fiercely. She was kind and witty all the way up to the end.
