Lois Lee Searcy Strickland was born to Earnest and Lillie Mae Searcy on December 28, 1932 in Atlanta, GA. With her loving granddaughter and grandson-in-law by her side she quietly answering the Master's call on the morning of January 31st.

She received her formal education in the Fulton County School District, graduating from Booker T Washington High School.

Lois would meet and marry Luther Strickland. She was employed at the Fountianview Convalescent Home a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She retired from employment after 30 years of service.

She joined what is now known as the Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C.

Her hobbies included baking, crossword puzzles and attending gospel singings. She had a generous spirit and kind heart, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved praising God. Her joy was found in gardening her flowers and plants, reading the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. Her grandchildren were showered with love.

Her parents, husband, daughter, Barbara Dean, siblings J. P. Searcy and Lottie Willis and grandson, Derrick Dean all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren: Yolanda Lovette(Ken),

James Dean, Tonieca Dean, Contorium Kimani (Kennedy) and Quovadis Grant; a host of nieces, nephews, great-grands, great great grands, family and friends. She will be sorely missed by so many who were blessed to have known her.
