James "Tickeye" Holland Sr was born on October 2, 1952 in Safety Harbor, FL to the late Susie Mae Soloman and Waymon Holland Sr.& He attended Pinellas County Schools and was last employed with WestCare for 19 years where he touched the lives of many people and built strong friendships with the residents and his co-workers. He re-dedicated is life to Christ in 2018 and became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Largo, FL.

He was known for his friendly demeanor and infectious laugh. He was a avid fisherman on his days off and he loved watching old westerns, doing all types of handyman work, tinkering with his tools and gadgets in his shed and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

James passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his sisters Carolyn Holland, Jo Anne Holland, Johnnie Mae Baldwin, and Alberta Neal. Also nephews Clarence Bolden, Dwayne Holland and Glenn Neal

James is survived by his long time signifigant other Rosa Lee Pitts, his sons Jermaine Pitts (Terryl), James Holland Jr. (LaShannon Thomas), and Tobagus Holland Sr. (Meka Edwards). His daughter Nikeyla Holland (Brian Mitchell). Brothers: Waymon Holland Jr, Joseph Holland Sr and John Thomas Holland. Sister: Louise Holland. Grandchildren: Tobagus Holland Jr, Tiana Holland, Samiyah Pitts, Jacqueline Holland, Jamesyn Holland, Jacari Holland, O'Shea Holland, Kyrie Holland, Azaiyah Holland. Special daughter Sharita Baldwin and special son Monroe Baldwin. Special grandchildren: Ja'Cobie Hart, Ja'Karra Hart, Taniya Thomas, Donta Bailey, Ja'Marion Henderson, Johntaysia Threatts, Nasir Helton, Jeidyn Helton. And a host of neices, nephews and cousins.
