Obituary

Galvester Emmanuel Jones Jr., age 49, departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 6, 2019. He was born on July 2, 1970 to Galvester and Marvelean Jones Sr. in Waukegan, IL.

Shortly after graduating from Waukegan West High school, Galvester joined the U.S. Army and served from October 19, 1989 through October 18, 1993. He was a veteran of the Peacetime and Gulf War Era.

He confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized in the year of 1997 under the leadership of the late Dr. Rev. L. C. Luther at First Fellowship Baptist Church in Waukegan, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Angenette Jones of Clearwater, FL; two daughters, Jelissa Jones of Zion, IL; Taylor Jones of Columbus, OH; three sons, Emmanuel Jones of Columbus, OH; Brandyn and Davion Jones of Round Lake, IL; four stepchildren, Kenneth Edmonds of Round Lake, IL; Jaziah Gaitlin, Janae and Janeese Miller of Clearwater, FL; his parents, Galvester and Marvelean Jones Sr. of Waukegan, IL; one sister, Linda Faye Jones of Waukegan, IL; one brother, Louis (Michelle) Newsome Jr., of Florence, AL; maternal grandfather, Richard Lee Jones of Muscle Shoals, AL; eleven uncles, Ronnie (Barbara) Davis of Memphis, TN; Larry Davis of Waukegan, IL; Derrick and Anthony Qualls of Muscle Shoals, AL; Richard (Usherly) Ray of Leighton, AL; Sylvester (Ida) Jones of Zion, IL; David Jones of Waukegan, IL; Ben Jones of North Chicago, IL; Ernest (Tuta) of Gurnee, IL; Eddie (Joyce) Jones of Memphis, TN; Milton (Toni) Jones Sr. of Memphis, TN; three aunts, Yvonne Sheffield of Waukegan, IL; Shirley (Wilbert) Redding of Duncan, MS; Linda (Richard) Miller of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren; four nephews, four nieces and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandmother, three uncles and four brothers.

A Celebration of His Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 19, 2019 at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 708 Greenwood Avenue, Waukegan, IL. Pastor Jimmie O. Johnson, Officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery, Zion, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements entrusted to Bradshaw-Range Funeral Home, Waukegan, IL
