LIFE REFLECTIONS

On July 30, 1949 Elester Marvin Hopkins (affectionately known as Lester) was born to the Willie and Helen Hopkins in Crystal River.

Elester attended the local and public schools of Citrus County and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington of Inverness Florida. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he received an Honorable Discharge.

Elester was known for his outgoing and witty personality. He had a great talent for making greeting cards of all sorts. Elester was also known to be an avid reader, reading the bible, current events, novels, and magazines to name a few. He enjoyed doing handyman work no matter how big or small the task.

Elester was preceeded in death by his parents Willie and Helen Hopkins, two brothers Nelson and Willie Don Hopkins, three sisters Jacqueline, Gertha, and Deborah Hopkins, one nephew Isaac Hopkins

On January 20th, 2022 Elester's time expired on this earth. He leaves to cherish his memories one son Avery Hopkins of Newberry, Florida, two brothers Willie Hopkins (Archer, FL), Theodore (Angelia) Hopkins, Crystal River.

Three nieces, Jeanitha Ludd, TaLeisha (Dexter) Phillips, Tiyahnna Hopkins, 3 nephews Marcus Sawyer, Amalke (Ericka) Hopkins, TeAndre Hopkins, 3 great nieces, one great nephew, one sister-in-law Erma Summerlin, and a host of cousins, associates and sorrowing friends.
