Eddie L. Cowart Sr., age 84, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Miami, FL was born in Hardaway, Alabama to the union of the late James and Lucille Cowart.& He was raised in Shorter, AL and graduated from Prairie Farm High School, the class of 1953. He accepted Christ at an early age and was once a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church choir in Clearwater.

Mr. Cowart worked many years in construction and was a retired mason/bricklayer. He was a member of the #510 Brownsville Progressive Lodge, Prince Hall Affiliated Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge of Florida. Eddie was full of life, always with a kind word or helping hand. He never met a stranger, touching people with his loving spirit and contagious laugh. He received so much love and joy from family and friends which he returned two-fold.

Eddie leaves to cherish many fond memories: 4 sons, Robert Cowart, Eddie (Sharon) Cowart Jr., Terry Jackson, and Anthony (Sonya) Cowart; 4 daughters, Loretta (Vernon) Dash, Jill Cowart, Sheila Hunter, and Gretta (Gary) Brayboy; siblings, Matilda Pitts, Annie Rayner, Lillie McKahand, Bertha (Bobby) Graham, Wilma (Milton) Williams, and Bobbie (Johnetta) Cowart, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends all of whom he loved dearly.
