Carmel Elizabeth Plant was born April 5, 1955 to the late Pearline Shaw in Edison, Georgia. She relocated to Clearwater, Florida at an early age with her family. She was educated in the Pinellas county school system.

She precedes in her passing her mother and siblings, Sarah, Irma, Bessie, Patrick, and Sam.

On Monday, March 22, 2021, the Lord in his infinite wisdom saw fit to reward Carmel Elizabeth Plant eternal rest. Carmel love for her family was unconditional and will be remembered by her loving sons, Maurice Bryant (Etta), Herbert Cobb ( Jamilah Jenkins) and Derek Carson, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and friends.
