Calvin Mitchum, the son of the late Pastor Willie and Fannie Mitchum was born on July 25, 1942. In Kingstree, South Carolina. He departed this earthy life on November 9, 2020 at Hospice Empathy in Palm Harbor, FL. Calvin had attended Public School to the 8th grade. He was a member of Bethany CME where he served faithfully on the Usher Board. Calvin was employed by the City of Clearwater for over thirty-two (30) years with Public Utilities in the Water Division as a Lead Senior Water Distribution Technician.

Calvin was married to the late Ida Bell Mitchum, who proceed in death. This union was blessed with three children. Daughter Mildred St. Aimie (Kervin) Pasco, FL, Colvert Collins Clearwater, Florida deceased, Elliott Collins of Clearwater, Florida, Christopher Bennett (Sharon) of Clearwater, Florida.
