Bertha Ruth Jones Story

December 15, 1944-February 2,2022

Our beloved mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend, Bertha Ruth (Jones) Story passed away with some of her family by her side on February 02, 2022, at the age of 77, in the care of Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida.

Bertha Ruth (Jones) Story was born on December 15, 1944, in Terrell County, Georgia to Elouise Humble and Robert Jones Sr.& She worked for The Hartford Board of Education and retired after twenty plus years as a custodian.

Bertha Story enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing slot machines, spending time with family, helping people and traveling. She has traveled to Jamaica, Hawaii and the Florida Keys. She also possessed many other talents. She was a member of Walk in the Light Deliverance Church in Hartford, Ct as well as a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Largo, Florida.

She will lovingly be remembered by her sons Wallace story Jr and Michael Story Sr (Felicia), grandchildren: Traymeshia Story, Carla Grate, Terrance Harris, Andre Story, Damion Richardson, Zaire Story, Dymon Story, Michael Story jr, Destinee Story; Siblings: Eddie Jones (Josephine), Mamie Simmons, Johnny Jones (Leila), Robert Jones Jr (Rosa), O'Neal Jones, Willie Jones, Jackie Jones. 17 Great grandchildren, 3 Great Great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Wallace Story Sr, son Sam Story, brother Eula C. Johnson and her parents Elouise Humble and Robert Jones Sr.

A Visitation Service will be held on February 15, 2022, from 5pm to 7pm, at T R Dallas Funeral Home located at 1479 S. Martin Luther King Avenue Ste. A, Clearwater, FL 33756. Followed by a Celebration of Life Service on February 16, 2022, beginning at 1pm at Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church located at 13207 128th St., Largo, FL 33774.
